📋 About This Mod
Swaps the models of the top tier daggers into that of the Arisen's Bond (Smallest in game item I could find) to make it look like you are punching and kicking instead of slicing and kicking. (Changes Helmbarte Daggers, Sapfire Daggers and Famae Blades)
Came up with this idea while making invisible Magick Bows and realized that the daggers' animations look quite a lot like unarmed fighting. I made it mostly for my personal use as it's not perfect (there are minuscule rings floating near your hips if the weapons are sheathed) but figured that somebody out there might want it.
There most likely is to make the ring's textures transparent (or the daggers' for that matter) but I don't feel like messing with texture files for now, I might if it starts bothering me too much or people are really interested in it.
Also your punches leave swooshes a few inches in front of them (you are so strong your punches break the sound barrier or something :P) and some skills look a bit weird, Snakebite and Masterful kill on small targets most of all (Masterful kill on bosses is an epic uppercut though, pros and cons i guess), lastly punches still make slashing noises, I might try to find the sound files some day, but then it also might ruin sword sounds so probably not.

Installation: Paste contents of .rar in main directory, only affects the .arc files of the models of the daggers.
This mod replaces the models of top-tier daggers with the Arisen's Bond, making unarmed combat look like punching and kicking instead of slicing. It's a simple cosmetic swap for Dragon's Dogma players who want a more martial arts feel. With 131 endorsements and last updated in 2016, it's a niche but functional tweak.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives your character a badass martial arts vibe without changing stats—pure style.
- Simple concept executed well; uses the smallest item to keep animations looking natural.
- Community-tested with 131 endorsements, so it's likely stable for many players.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects top-tier daggers, so lower-level gear won't get the visual upgrade.
- Last updated in 2016—might not work with newer game patches or DLC.
For Dragon's Dogma players who want their assassin or strider to look like a bare-knuckle brawler instead of a blade user. If you're tired of daggers clipping or just want a fresh look for endgame gear, this is a quick fix. Skip if you're on lower-level gear or expect gameplay changes—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you're using the top-tier daggers (like the ones from the Everfall or Bitterblack Isle) to see the effect.
- If you're on PC, back up your original game files before swapping models, just in case.
- Check the mod's comments section on Nexus for any user-reported issues with specific game versions.
