📋 About This Mod

(Sorry for my bad english, not my native language)

Description:

Just a simple master effect preset i did for myself, to give Dragon's Dogma a nice color mood similar to dark souls 2 sotfs, and wanted to share it.

Installation:

You will need ReShade and MartyMcFly's Mastereffect

1: Download ReShade and extract the contents it in the Dragon's Dogma directory, after that, rename "ReShade32.dll" to "d3d9.dll" 2: Download mastereffects and extract all contents (MasterEffect folder, MasterEffect.h and ReShade.fx) in the Dragon's Dogma directory 3: Just overwrite the MasterEffect.h file downloaded from here, in the Dragon's Dogma directory (If you don't like it and want to uninstall it, just delete every file and folder related to reshade and mastereffect, including d3d9.dll) Also, you can toggle the effects on/off with "insert" key

Bugs/issues:

DoF sometimes mess with some text. But i think it's not that bad. Anyway, you can disable DoF editing MasterEffect.h and changing "#define USE_DEPTHOFFIELD 1" to "#define USE_DEPTHOFFIELD 0"

Tips: You can activate some other options like Ambient Occlusion, SMAA, etc. And mess with the configuration. But i don't recommend activating AO anyway, it's performance eater and looks terribly bad in exteriors.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have Reshade installed and set up for Dark Souls 2 before adding this preset.
  • If the game uses anti-cheat, verify Reshade is compatible or use it offline to avoid bans.
  • Test in different areas – lighting varies, so adjust in-game brightness if needed.
