De-Purple Arlathan Forest - LUT Swap

DE-PURPLE ARLATHAN FOREST

Working with Patch 5!

THIS IS NOT A RESHADE PRESET

Replaces the main Arlathan Forest LUT with the one used for Arlathan's interior locations. It's a lot less purple.

Should function on both SDR and HDR screens, as I reused a LUT directly from the game files. I cannot test HDR myself at the moment.

INSTALLATION

Follow this mod installation guide created by PinkyDude.

HOW I ACHIEVED THIS

Each area in the game has a VisualEnvironmentBlueprint file which references a specific HdrColorGradingLut.

You can find these LUTs by navigating to Lighting/LUT in Frosty Editor. (Some LUTs are in the HDR folder, some are not, I don't think it's an SDR vs HDR thing though.) When you click on any of the GradingLutAsset files located here, you can see where these LUTs are referenced in the game files in the bottom right panel, in the references tab. Each of the files found in that tab will be a VisualEnvironmentBlueprint, which you can open and replace the referenced HdrColorGradingLut.

For this mod, I simply I swapped the LUT referenced in the Atmosphere_Override_Arlathan_BASE, and VE_dav_q23_200_lvl_sentinel_scene VisualEnvironmentBlueprint files with the LUT referenced in Atmosphere_Override_Arlathan_BASE_Interior.

This method would allow you to replace any LUT in the game with one of your choice, even a custom-made one if you replace the right texture.
