Expanded Resident Tasks

Description

Expanded Resident Tasks adds a new pool of resident favors focused on doing things rather than fetching items.

Each morning, resident requests are split between the mod's new activity-based favors and Dinkum's existing item requests. Vanilla favors are left exactly as the game creates them, so the mod expands the favor system without replacing it.

The mod checks every custom favor before assigning it. The mod confirms that the task can actually be completed, such as making sure enough crops exist before asking you to water them or checking that you own an animal before assigning an animal-related favor.

Completed tasks use Dinkum's existing reward systems for permit points and friendship, while the mod adds an additional thank-you reward such as Dinks, furniture, clothing, flooring, or wallpaper.

The percentage of residents who receive expanded tasks can be adjusted through configuration.

Main features

• Adds a new pool of activity-based resident favors.

• Progress only begins after the favor has been accepted.

• Completing a favor awards 50 permit points plus the normal friendship gain through the game's own systems.

• Leaving a favor unfinished causes the normal overnight friendship penalty.

• Adds a thank-you gift after completing a favor.

Possible rewards include:

• Reward category weights can be adjusted through configuration.

• Item rewards are selected from items that could normally appear in shops.

• Adds a completion notification when a favor is handed back.

• Prevents duplicate custom favors from being assigned on the same day while other task types remain available.

• Designed to count actions fairly and consistently.

• Compatible with the Enhanced Bulletin Board favor list.

• Supports Accept All through Enhanced Bulletin Board.

Expanded Favors:

Cut the Grass - Cut 7 patches of grass after accepting the favor.

Bug Problem - Catch 3 bugs.

The bugs remain yours and do not need to be handed over.

Fish Overcrowding - Catch 3 fish.

The fish remain yours and do not need to be handed over.

Too Many Trees - Fell 5 trees.

Each tree counts when you fell it. Removing the stump does not count as an additional tree.

Too Many Rocks - Break 5 rocks.

Water the Crops - Water 5 crops.

This favor is only available when enough crops exist to complete it.

Pet the Animals - Pet one of your owned animals.

This favor only appears when you own an eligible animal.

Visit a Neighbor - Visit another resident somewhere in town.

The mod checks that another suitable resident is available before assigning the task.

Come Hang Out Later - Start Dinkum's existing hang-out activity with the resident who assigned the favor.
