Tank Car Aux Tender

This mod adds a water tender for the steam locomotives, made out of one of the vanilla tank cars. It increases the water capacity of whatever steam locomotive it's connected to. It will work behind any steam locomotive, including the S060, S282, and probably any modded steam locomotive too.

How do I use this mod?

Install like any other mod (drag and drop into the "Mods" tab of Unity Mod Manager. Remember to install Custom Car Loader ("CCL") as well.

This water tender will not spawn naturally, so in career mode it can only be used as a Work Train (like the caboose or the slug). To purchase the water tender, open your Comms Radio and go into "CCL Work Trains". Scroll to the version of the tank car you want, pay for it, then spawn it like any other Work Train. Unfortunately, for technical reasons you have to purchase the three different versions separately.

Why are there three separate versions of this water tender?

Because there are three different skins: one black, one blue, and one with the "milk" texture. For technical reasons, these are labeled as different water tenders, rather than different paint schemes for the same tender.

How do I refill the water tender?

To refill, position the round thing that looks like a fill port underneath the water spouts across the map, just like a normal tender. Or refill the tender it's connected to.

The water level will automatically equalize with the water level of the tender/loco it's connected to (so if the tender is 90% full, the water tender will be 90% full). Look into the attached tender, and that will be the water level of the water tender.

How many aux tenders can I use per locomotive?

As many as you want, although in career mode you can only spawn one of each color scheme. You might find that you'll run out of coal before running out of water.
