Refined Graphics Overhaul

A countinuation of my an unofficial visual remaster project, created to modernize the game’s presentation while staying fully true to its original artistic vision and atmosphere.

The remaster features extensive visual rework across the entire game, including newly modeled elements, modern, high-resolution textures, and a completely rebalanced lighting setup. The visual direction focuses on faded, desaturated light, softer contrasts, and a more grounded, cinematic mood, avoiding exaggerated effects or oversaturated colors.

Lighting has been carefully redesigned to feel more natural and cohesive, enhancing depth, scale, and environmental storytelling. The overall image is intentionally more restrained and atmospheric, emphasizing tone and immersion rather than spectacle.

A slightly increased camera distance has been introduced to improve spatial awareness and readability during exploration and combat, while fully respecting the original gameplay balance and intent.

This remaster does not aim to reinvent Dark Souls, but to present it as it might look if it were visually re-released today—cleaner, subtler, and more timeless, without compromising its identity.
