DSR - Conflagration

What is DSR - Conflagration?

DSR - Conflagration is a not-quite-overhaul mod that aims to keep the feel of the game the same as vanilla, while restoring and repurposing cut content, rebalancing parts of the game and making NG+ more interesting.  A lot of existing overhaul mods, while very skilfully-made and enjoyable to play, also feel very different to the vanilla game. This is usually due to them adding lots of new bosses, changing the intended route of the game or changing/adding/removing key mechanics. Conflagration is deliberately less ambitious in scope and is made for people who want Dark Souls Remastered to be the same game, but with more stuff in it and a more challenging NG+ experience.

Key Features

- 5 new weapons, 4 new rings, 10 +1 rings and 8 new consumables have been added. Most of the +1 rings and new consumables can only be found in NG+.

- Item summaries of rings now explain their effects in more detail. Soul items also tell you how many souls consuming them will give you.

- NG+ now has new enemy placements, new NPC enemies and Black Phantoms, new item drops and new chests.

- A lot of the weaker weapons (boss or otherwise) have been buffed or given a useful niche.

- Stat scaling for Vitality, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith and resistances based on Soul Level have all been increased, making it more worthwhile to upgrade these stats past their original softcaps. This also makes Resistance somewhat useful!

Q) Is this mod compatible with...?

A) Probably not! Model swaps (unless it's the player's model) and texture edits should all be compatible though.

Q) How can I tell if the mod's working properly?

A) Your starting class stats and some of the starting gifts will be different!

Q) Does this mod make the game harder?

A) On NG, nope! NG+1 and beyond are harder, but some of the new consumables can temporarily make you a lot stronger!

Q) Where can I find the new items/hostile NPCs?

A) Not telling (wouldn't be a Souls experience if I did). I will say, however, that a lot of stuff (incl. most of the new consumables and +1 rings)

can only be found in NG+1 and beyond!

Q) Can I play this mod online?

A) Not if you don't want to get banned. If you've already been banned or just don't care about getting banned, then go for it!

Q) Can I play this mod in ?

A) Nope, only the English version of the game is supported.

Q) Will you be updating this mod?

A) Unless there's some critic
