Cut Content Rings Restored

Description

Restores the three cut content rings:

• []The Ring of Displacement[/]

  []The Ring of Condemnation[/]

  []The Ring of Blind Ghosts[/]

  Each ring has had its original intended effects recreated with no compromises via emevd. They function pretty much exactly how I believe they would have if FromSoft had included them, based on the rings' descriptions. Uses the orginal text entries, ring IDs, and textures, the only thing I added myself was emevd scripting to drive the Displacement and Blind Ghost rings. 

  • []The Ring of Displacement reduces all damage by 90% and each hit taken has a 1/20 chance to break the ring.[/]

    []The Ring of Condemnation periodically retaliates with an explosion after taking some hits, similar to Karmic Justice. [/]

    []The Ring of Blind Ghosts turns the ghosts of New Londo passive. Ghosts can still be attacked and engage in combat. [/]

    How to Acquire the Rings

    • []The Ring of Displacement is dropped by the Cresftallen Knight in New Londo after he goes Hollow at the conclusion of his questline. It can also be found in a chest in Drained New Londo which formerly contained a Titanite Chunk.[/]

      []The Ring of Condemnation is dropped by Oswald of Carim on death. He also sells it for 30,000 Souls. It can also be found with the Mask of Velka in the Painted World. [/]

      []The Ring of Blind Ghosts is dropped by Ingward on death. This ring is keeping him safe from the ghosts, so only in death will he part with it. It can also be found with the Crimson Set in Blighttown.[/]

      Installation instructions

      Copy the \event and \param folders into your game folder (where DarkSoulsRemastered.exe is). Overwrite the files when prompted. 

      If using ModEngine, put the \event and \param folders into your ModEngine mods/mod folder. 

      To uninstall, validate your files on Steam OR restore backups of common.emevd.dcx, m16_00_00_00.emevd.dcx, and GameParam.parambnd.dcx.

      For merging with other mods using Smithbox, I have included . CSV files for the various params used by this mod. I have also included a . TXT file with the MattScript versions of the added EMEVD scripts used to drive the ring effects. For merging EMEVD, I recommend DarkScript 3.
