Bagel Souls - Rebalance Mod

Made with fromsoftserve's Re-Remastered mod. Shouldn't be a requirement but if there are game breaking issues, that may be the reason. Besides, it's a fantastic mod that should be downloaded immediately!

Installation (modengine method):

1. find your game folder (in steam you can go to the game properties and select "browse local files")

2. if you don't already have fromsoftserve's Re-Remastered mod, download mod engine for DSR and put it in the game directory

3. make sure that in the modengine folder there is a folder called "mod"

4. put the bagel ring folder in the mod folder

5. edit the "config_darksoulsremastered.toml" file and add the load list. example

6. launch the game with "launchmod_darksoulsremastered.bat"

7. (optional) to have steam launch with modengine, create a shortcut to "launchmod_darksoulsremastered.bat" and place it next to your "DarkSoulsRemastered.exe". Then, in your game properties on steam, enter the location of the newly created shortcut into the launch options followed by " %command%". This is the exact line that i use (minus the brackets): ["F:\Games (SSD)\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED\launchmod_darksoulsremastered" %command%]

8. if you have issues with the mod not loading (an indicator is to create a new character and check if the starting classes are modified), edit the properties of "modengine2_launcher.exe" and mark off "Run this program as administrator"

Installation (overwrite method):

- unpack and put contents from "Bagel Souls" folder into your "DARK SOULS REMASTERED" folder with the .exe (this method has the least potential for compatibility)

Specific adjustments:

- adjusted most every ring to be more reasonable (nerfed FaP and havel's but buffed almost everything else)

- Lautrec no longer drops FaP and it no longer breaks when removed

- white seance ring now regens health and doesn't give attunement slot

- darkmoon seance ring now gives 2 attunement slots

- old witches ring now buffs pyromancies and bellowing dragoncrest ring no longer buffs pyromancies

- cat covenant ring now turns wearer invisible

- darkmoon covenant ring now adds 50 to all defenses

- metal shields are heavier and have slightly higher strength requirements

- black knight weapons now have added fire damage (not a whole lot)

- most weapons passive effects are better (Sanctus, gargoyle weapons, dragon weapons, etc)

- all armor provide 50% more defense but defense from leveling is heavily downplayed

- passive effects are better

INFUSIONS/UPGRADES:

- divine infusion now gives health regen

- enchanted infusion now buffs sorceries

- raw infusion removes all scaling and gives base damage slightly higher than +10 to +15
