📋 About This Mod

It's a program that autoequips weapons, armor and rings when obtained. This is mainly useful for the "Use what you see/get challenge". Counts number of bosses defeated.

It's a standalone program that will attach itself to the game. The program reads the memory of the game to detect changes in the player inventory, if a new weapon, armor or ring is detected the program will autoequip them by writing into the games memory.

Why do I need this?

This is mainly useful for the "Use what you see/get challenges" in item randomizer playthroughs, so you don't have to go into your inventory everytime you pickup something new.

Installation

No installation needed.

There is no need for the executable to be in the dark souls folder and can be executed from anywhere.

The mod should in theory work for any version of the game (1. 02 and 1. 04 versions tested).

Usage

In order to use: execute the program and leave it running. A Windows console will open that will post messages about the current state of the program.

The program will start working automatically when you are in game, you don't need to input anything.

You don't need to have the game open before running and it won't close when the game closes. (So you don't need to relaunch if the game crashes).

When done you will need to close the program manually.

Boss couting

To activate change the value on the configuration file that is on the same folder as the program executable from 0 to 1

Boss counting is output as a file in the same folder as the executable named boss_count.txt

File contains a single number indicanting the number of bosses defeated.

Auto-upgrades

Due to DS1 difficult upgrade systems, there is no perfect solution to the auto-upgrade system. So right now it offers 2

To activate change the value on the configuration file that is on the same folder as the program executable from 0 to 1 or 2

--System 1--

Every upgrade path is independent from each other.  If you have a +4 twinkling weapon and you pick a normal titanite weapon. The equipped weapon will have the upgrades you have done to normal titanite weapons, so if you have previously upgraded a dagger to +7, the new weapon will be +7. And if then pickup a twinkling again, it will be at +4.

--System 2--

Every upgrade path is converted to each other.  If you have a +4 twinkling weapon and you pick a normal titanite weapon, it will be upgraded to +12. If you pickup the crys
