Overview

Valiant HUD is an overhaul player HUD mod that retextures, moves around, and scales elements on your normal DS3 HUD.  Things like the soul counter, quick bar, and spells are all moved to provide a less obstructed FOV near the bottom of the screen.  This works with vanilla & modded (specific mod versions are provided (The Convergence, Champion's Ashes, Cinders)).

Installation

Method 1: Mod Engine (Bannable)

1a. If another mod uses ModEngine already, place the files into the existing /menu folder that the mod has so it integrates with it.

1b. If you are using the HUD without external mods, download Mod Engine and follow the instructions listed on the mod page. Create a new folder to store your mod inside your DS3 Game folder, and inside that, create a /menu folder.  You will put your downloaded mod files into this folder.  Finally, ensure your modengine.ini file references this new mod folder you created.

To install this mod with The Convergence, Cinders, or Champion's Ashes, you must find the mod folder created by the mod, and inside that, there will be a /menu folder in which you can drop in the mod files.

The path will be something like: \Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game\(Mod Folder Name Here)\menu.

Method 2: UXM (Not Bannable)

1. Download UXM. Run the EXE, then unpack and patch your game.

2. Place the downloaded mod files into the /menu folder that is located in /Game.  This should replace 3 files

3. Go back into the UXM EXE and patch your game once again.

With this method, you should be safe to play online as well (99. 99% safe)
