Mjolnir - The Hammer of Thor

Did you ever want to do a proper cosplay of the mighty god Thor in your Dark Souls 3 playthrough? Theoretically you can, to an extent, as the game has plenty of miracles that don't feel out of place for the gos of thunder, and some armors you can find in the game feel just right for such a roleplay. Unfortunately, there is not a proper weapon to go with this build.

There are a lot of hammers, yes (the dragonslayer's greathammer is a prime contender for such a build) and while the Dragonslayer's Greataxe is definetely a viable weapon for this purpose, I always felt that something was lacking in the weapons compartment, at least as far as viable weapons for a Thor playthrough go. So I decided to make this mod, which is somewhat a replica of the same mod I made for Dark Souls 2:

Behold the mighty Mjolnir, the hammer of the Thundergod!

The first and most important feature about this mod is its uniqueness: while other mod authors just change the weapon model and overwrite existing equipment in the game, I felt like going above and beyond with this particular project. In short, Mjolnir comes as a standalone weapon; it does not overwrite any of the existing weapons in the game and is obtainable in a way that kept the general lore of Dark Souls 3 into consideration, as it's obtained by transposing the soul of Curse-rotted Greatwood using the transposing kiln you give to Ludleth. But why is that?

According to the game lore, Curse-rotted greatwood is somewhat a trash bin for curses and ancient relics, so much in fact you can find the Lucatiel's greatsword inside the tree, using the transposing kiln. Mjolnir's description states that this weapon comes from an ancient time, so it just felt natural to make it in such a way that you could obrain it by soul transposing.

By default, the weapon uses the Blacksmith's Hammer as a base for all of its modifications. I messed a bit with the weapon's stats, to make several changes to the weapon itself and make it unique. The main features of this weapon are:

-Model and texture replacement

-Weapon name changed

-Menu and HUD icon changed

-Description changed

-Added FTH requirement and scaling

-Reduced DEX requirement

-STR scaling buffed

-Added lightning split damage

-Base damage buffed

-Buffed damage against abyssal creatures

-Durability has been buffed

-Weapon weight increased

-Upgradable to +5 with Titanite Scales

-Not infusable, buf buffable
