HD Paperdoll Face Retexture

Description

This is my first paperdoll face retexture project. Because of the way Daggerfall Unity scales and positions the original paperdoll assets, some faces may not appear perfectly in every situation. Minor differences in size, alignment, or visual consistency may remain.

Feedback, screenshots, and bug reports are welcome and may help improve future versions.

Installation instructions

  []Copy the included files or folders into your Daggerfall Unity installation directory.[/]

  []Allow the files to merge with the existing folder structure if prompted.[/]

  []Start Daggerfall Unity and check the paperdoll character screen.[/]

Do not rename the included texture files, as Daggerfall Unity relies on the original filenames to load them correctly.

To uninstall the mod, remove the files installed by this archive or restore the original textures from a backup.

This mod may conflict with other mods that replace the same paperdoll face textures. Whichever mod is loaded last will normally overwrite the conflicting files.

Adjusting Face Size and Position with XML

Some paperdoll faces may appear too small, too large, stretched, or incorrectly positioned in-game. You can adjust their display size and position by editing the XML file associated with the face texture.

1. Find the XML File

Locate the XML file corresponding to the face texture you want to adjust.

The PNG and XML filenames must match exactly, except for the file extension.

2. Open the XML File

Open the XML file with a text editor such as Notepad++.

The exact structure may vary, but the important values control the image position and dimensions.

3. Adjust the Values
