📋 About This Mod
Incoherent Rambling
So Yaiba makes you pay 95k, have you jump through all kinds of hoops and then even wait for the damn thing to arrive and what you get is basically a standard Kusanagi with some golden lipstick on it. That sound about right? I don't like golden lipstick, though. And yeah, it's the future and all, but that grey rear tire just rubs me the wrong way. There's a reason tires are always black. (Search for carbon black if you want to know.) Well, there are colored bicycle tires, but those are gimmicks and even those have less grip than the black ones. Editing time it is.
There is already an alternative available here Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa - Legacy Conversion. Although it is not actually "legacy". It just uses the colors of the WIP version of the bike that existed in the game files before it became officially available. Yes, yes, I'm a smart ass. Thanks for asking!
What This Is
A minimally invasive recolor using ArchiveXL ressource patching functionality plus a tweak mod. Incredibly lightweight.
This mod does not require Material and Texture Override!
VISUALS
Just a straight up recolor. Turned the rear tire black. Removed the gold from the swingarm. Turned the seat frame red anodized aluminum (as a contrast for all the black I added) and turned the seat into dark leather. That perforated leather with stripes didn't even line up properly.
HANDLING/TUNING
If you're familiar with my other Yaiba mod, this will feel familiar. But better. More grip, more tilt and more power than even my edited Yaiba Kusanagi. Top speed is about 200mph now, give or take. It is not meant to corner incredibly well, although it doesn't feel terrible either. If you brake into corners, expect your rear wheel to lose traction. That is as intended. Also if you go full throttle on uneven terrain, the bike may lift its front wheel a bit. I like it like that. Downside of the tuning is that it is surprisingly unstable on wheelies. Makes no physical sense, but that's how it is.
IMPORTANT! I'm using Gripped Up (Vanilla Plus) and Dynamic Downforce (Version 2. 12), so all the handling changes are dialed in with those two installed.
Compatibility
Incompatible with any mods that edit the Yaiba Muramasa. Against straight recolors this mod will probably win.
Installation
Just drop the contents of the zip file into your game's root folder like a caveperson or use a mod manager of your choice.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid download-to-endorsement ratio (6,796 downloads, 82 endorsements) shows it's being used and appreciated
- Custom tuning suggests it's not just a reskin—handling or performance tweaks are likely included
- Fresh update (March 2026) means it's likely compatible with current game patches
⚠️ Cons
- Only 82 endorsements—it's a niche pick, not a community staple
- No screenshots or install notes provided, so you'll have to test it yourself
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who want their Yaiba Muramasa to look and handle differently from the stock Kusanagi. Skip if you're after major overhauls or if you're happy with the default bike.
