USE ITEMS FROM VENDORS (REMAKE FOR 2. 3)
Use Items From Vendors (Remake for 2. 3) is a full functionality rebuild of the original Use Items From Vendors mod by Reki72 from 2021 (incompatible with the game now), and expands upon its follow-up mod Drink At The Counter by DommyBobby, which partially restores the original functions as well. (See features below)
The entire code had to be rewritten compared to the original (due to game script changes post-2. 0) and now only uses either CDPR code as source, or the aforementioned Drink At The Counter mod, for which I received permission from DommyBobby.
The mod enables players to buy and consume items immediately from the vendor's inventories without having to exit the vendor screen. (Vanilla process is to buy, adjust slider, confirm, exit vendor screen, enter hub menu, enter backpack, filter for consumables and only then use consumable.)
Supports Patch 2. 31.
Features
— Ability to Buy & Use consumables immediately from vendor inventory
— Ability to Use consumables immediately from player inventory on vendor screen (feature from Drink At The Counter mod)
— Applies to alcohol, food, drinks and long-lasting consumables
— Integrated to button legend UI at the bottom of the screen
— Uses same hotkey as disassemble does on other screens (default: 'Z')
— Applies eat/drink UI sound on button press
— Vanilla Buy option remains available in unmodified form
Should be compatible with everything that doesn't modify the OnInventoryHoverOver/Out and HandleVendorSlotClick methods. Always check for mod conflicts first. Works on all saves.
