Marketed as a smart system for optimizing mobility and citizen services, the truth is obvious to anyone who's paying attention: it’s just another way to gatekeep access and exclude the unworthy. Now, ripperdocs turn you away. Clubs won’t let you in. Even your own apartment might ghost you—unless your Street Cred speaks for you.

Key locations across Night City—like ripperdocs, clubs, apartments, and major services—now require a minimum Street Cred to access.

Earn your reputation before the city gives you anything in return.

Story Pacing Overhaul

Main jobs, side quests, and gigs are no longer thrown at you all at once. Instead, timed events and Street Cred milestones introduce meaningful narrative pauses, creating a slower, more immersive progression.

These changes interact dynamically with the world. For example, after your first visit to Viktor, you no longer meet Jackie right away—he and Misty are off cleansing their chakras. Jackie will text you when he's ready again.

Fully lore-friendly messages from characters like Jackie, Viktor, Dum Dum, Brick, and others are seamlessly integrated into the in-game communication system, making delays feel natural—not forced.

Quest pauses - Please note that other quests (such as Ghost Town) are affected by the social pass in places such as Afterlife, although they do not appear in this table.
