📋 About This Mod

I found the projectile launcher to be lacking in all aspects when it came to arm cyberware. I decided to give it a shot for my most recent play-through and it irritated me with how much it under performs so I made this mod.

I made and tested this whilst playing on Very Hard with a heavily modded game. I was aiming for similar damage to that of a frag back when I made the mod, however this seems to be overkill for newer mod lists. excelatrate's edit is available in optional files and is the version included in the NCR collection, which is much more balanced for similar mod lists. That being said the regular version is fully editable, just open the .yaml in a text editor and tweak to your heart's content.

This is my first mod so please bare with me, if there are any issues I'm honestly not sure I can help. I just kinda managed to figure this out playing around in WolvenKit and reading the "How to YAML" on the Cyberpunk 2077 Modding page.

It's probably the worst way to do it but it's what I needed and it works for me. So thought I would share.

I have annotated the .yaml file so it can be easily edited. Everything should have a comment explaining on it's first appearance in the file.

NOTE: I reduced the vehicle damage of both the Base and Relic versions of the Projectile Launcher in order to reduced potential crashes related to multiple vehicle explosions. You can edit the file and increase the vehicle damage again if you never experienced the issue.

Projectile Launcher Changes:

  • []  Base Damage for all Projectile Launcher and it's variants increased from 128 to 512.[/]
    • []  Range increased from 4 to 8 [/]
      • []  Vehicle Damage increased from 600 to 4800  (Reduced from original version to mitigate vehicle explosion crashes. Old Value: 12000)[/]
        • []  Player Incoming Damage Multiplier reduced from 1 to 0. 1 [/]

          Relic Launcher Changes:

          • []  Vehicle Damage per Projectile increased from 300 to 4800  (Reduced from original version to mitigate vehicle explosion crashes. Old Value: 6000)[/]
            • []  Range increased from 4 to 8[/]
              • []  Player Incoming Damage Multiplier reduced from 1 to 0. 1[/]
                • []  Projectile Multiplier from -0. 5 to 1[/]
                  • []  Option to Adjust Magazine Size for Relic Launcher[/]

I recommend using this with the Intuitive Projectile Launcher System for better tracking for the rounds.

🎯 Is This For You?
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who love the Projectile Launcher but find it underpowered. 💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure to place the mod files in the correct Cyberpunk 2077 mod folder (usually 'archive/pc/mod') to ensure it loads properly.
  • Since this tweaks damage values, test it in combat to see if the new balance feels right for your playstyle—you can always remove the mod if it's too strong.
  • If you use other weapon rebalance mods, check for conflicts, as multiple mods editing the same stats can cause unexpected results.
