Merc Protocol adds a horizontal progression system that rewards your mercenary activities with entirely new combat capabilities. Rather than simple stat boosts, each perk unlocks new mechanics and playstyles that fundamentally change how you approach combat.
This mod takes heavy inspiration from Stealthrunner by RMK. Significant portions of the UI framework, notification systems, and menu integration are built upon RMK's excellent work. Full credit to RMK for the foundational systems that made this mod possible.
Core Philosophy

[]Horizontal, Not Vertical – No damage increases or number inflation. Every perk adds a new ability or mechanic you didn't have before.

]Meaningful Choices – You can only earn ~50% of the perk points needed to max everything directly from the mod. If you want all of the perks, you'll have to sacrifice vanilla perks to get them.[]Earned Through Gameplay – No free handouts. Your perk points come from completing mercenary work across Night City.
