📋 About This Mod

Adds a small amount of Hangul to some ads.

1. 5. 1 (Current)

- Fixed the Avante logo not centered correctly.

- Doubled the quantity of ads affected (now 12 total.)

- Updated fallback files, which I believe are placeholders that the game uses for ads that are very far away. I'm not sure. I updated them anyway.

- Redid the New Empire ad, because the background blending in the original version was wonky.

- Uploaded mod.

Description

The goal with this mod was to translate a bit of text in some advertisements into Korean with the game's artists' design intentions in mind.

In the current version of the mod (1. 5,) a small amount of ads are affected. Even so, most of these ads still have a lot of the original English text left over. The latter is intentional, as to keep immersion and the lore intact. With that said, I did not upscale anything. Everything I touched were left in the game's native resolutions. I might make an upscaled version when I incorporate more ads.

Later versions of the mod will hopefully incorporate more ads. I just could not spend the time at the moment, since the game is extremely strict about the size and placement of pixels when it comes to this. Keep in mind that static ads and animated ads use the same base, so the game needs to be strict.

Some translations are arguable. For example, since there is no 'R' sound in Korean, 'Thorton' can be translated as either '쏘턴' or '쏠턴.' I went with the former. For text that are wordplays, etc. (e.g. the New Empire tagline,) I translated into a similar -- but not literal -- way that made the most sense in Korean, in my opinion.

If anything looks glaringly off, please let me know.

Note: A variation of the Sandblast ad is already in Korean by default. That one is not my modification.

Installation:

Extract to the game's installation directory. This is a non-REDmod archive file. In other words, put it where all other mod archive files go.

Files under the 'Optional' section are just single ad replacers. The main 'All-In-One' file is all of them in a single archive, so no need to download each and every one of them.

Not tested with Vortex or any other manager, so I cannot guarantee compatibility.
