📋 About This Mod
This mod makes some small changes to both the Achilles and Widowmaker so they become more relevant and likely to be picked up and used when compared to both Assault Rifles and other Precision Rifles, such as giving them the default crosshair, increasing magazine size, allowing scopes on them and a slight base damage boost.
Why?
Before the 2. 0 update, there was no distinction between Assault Rifles and Precision Rifles, and the Achilles and its iconic variant were very powerful weapons and could be used as both a DMR and an Assault Rifle. After the 2. 0 update, both weapons were severely changed and nerfed, falling short when compared to the SOR-22, another Precision Rifle, and again when compared to most Assault Rifles because it doesn't benefit from any perk points from that tree when used as an Assault Rifle, so why would you use it when it isn't good at being either?
Not only that, they require you to commit points to BOTH the Tech and Cool tree so it can become somewhat relevant in the game, and even then, it is outclassed by Pistols and Snipers when commited to the Cool tree. Not only that, it was given such a small magazine size, that by the time you've emptied the magazine and need to reload, an Assault Rifle would've had enough bullets left to finish the enemy. I've also changed the crosshair back to the default one, which now favors more hip-firing if needed.
