📋 About This Mod

The chrome the mods and the playstyle

As the name suggests, this SMG can be many things based on what mods are attached, what worked well for me was the combination of Wallpuncher, Spinetickler and Ready Steady combined with the Immovable Force iconic cyberware, which turns the conditional bonus of Ready Steady into a permanent one (together with its own bonus, basically there is no recoil). Tech weapon perks make a huge difference, full automatic bolt shots (more on that later) are OP: I'm not saying the Chimera was a pushover, but... the Chimera was a pushover (so were drones, turrets and mechs). Sasquatch just pissed her... whatever is she wearing, you get the idea. An otherwise situational and underutilized cyberware turns into a useful one with this weapon, the Feedback Circuit (3. 5% heal on charged shots), as almost all of our shots are full auto charged shots, and the frequency is much higher than for instance with a Satara. The iconic variant regenerates a bit more (and stamina as well), but I don't think the hefty capacity cost of 40 is worth it. In my playthrough I used Dynalar Sandevistan (I found 50% slow to be the sweet spot for Hengeyokai's firerate, but you do you if you find it ok with the Militech Falcon or Apogee, their capacity cost is substantially higher though), I've mostly activated it only when I was out of healing charges to let "Borrowed Time" kick in more easily, or in boss fights, so probably it can be substituted with a Kerenzikov to use Berserk (for an invincible hybrid melee build) or Chrome Compressor instead of a Sandevistan (Chrome Compressor would enable a tankier build by affording Rara Avis and Second Heart on top of Epimorphic Skeleton and the other mandatory cyberware). If you aim for high crit hit chance with Sandevistan and/or  Kiroshi "Cockatrice" Optics make sure to have 20 cool regardless of the build and equip the Deep-Field Visual Interface iconic cyberware. We don't care much about its main effect (the longer the distance the higher the crit chance, though not negligible at medium long distances), but with its Cool attunement we gain 20% crit damage in addition to the 25% crit damage from the 20 Cool. If you want 20 reflex (the capstone perks are not really useful, but still), you can have18 cool with Phantom Liberty, and that is still a substantial crit damage increase, and still have 20 Strength (survivability) and 20 Tech (simply mandatory for this weapon). Make sure to reach Engineer skill 60, many milestone rewards of the Engineer are simply too good to be ignored, using the tech SMG will constantly progress Engineer, to accelerate it use grenades liberally as well.

Hengeyokai can be charged from hip-fire, and while theoretically you can follow the charge level on the weapon itself (on its display under the fingerprint scanner), that is too far away from the crosshair to be practical while hip-firing, therefore the weapon uses the hex crosshair from Sata
