📋 About This Mod
Adds missing environmental shadows across the entire game and fixes a bunch of visual issues with NPCs & player. Main focus is Ray Tracing (and Path Tracing). However, mod also affects the game with RT effects turned off, making more objects shadow casting.
Enabled: Self-explanatory.
Ray Tracing Mode: Needs to be enabled to apply Ray Tracing and Path Tracing specific fixes. Keep it off if you use Ray Traced Local Shadows or Ray Traced Sun Shadows only.
Accurate Player Shadows Preset (RT Mode): Disables low quality meshes used for player to cast shadows and makes entire character FPP model "visible" for Ray Tracing/Path Tracing. This fixes shadow patches all around V's model in first person, but gameplay shadows look as funky as they were on release. Also it enables V's reflection without a head as a side effect. 5 presets: Disabled (Default), Driving, Scenes, Driving and Scenes, Always.
Dynamic Instance Budget Preset (RT Mode): Controls RT related engine parameters. Higher the value - progressively less NPC shadow bugs at the cost of performance. Impact may vary depending on the amount of entities. The heaviest benchmark for this - Heavy Hearts club from PL expansion at night. Go there and just experiment, save reload isn't necessary in this case. If you have a good enough machine, you may also be interested in this mod.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge download count (365k+) shows it's trusted by the community.
- Solid endorsement ratio (2.7k) suggests it works well for most users.
- Lightweight visual fix that doesn't overhaul the whole game.
⚠️ Cons
- Author didn't bother writing a real description—'Read the description' is all you get.
- No details on what exactly is fixed, so you're flying blind.
- Last updated June 2026—might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim patches if any dropped after.
For Skyrim players who notice shadow glitches and want a quick, community-approved fix without diving into complex ENB setups. Skip if you need detailed documentation or if you're on a modlist that already includes comprehensive shadow fixes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since the description is empty, check the Posts section on the mod page for user-reported fixes and compatibility notes.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to install and manage this mod—it's a simple drop-in, but a manager helps track load order.
- If you're using an ENB, test this mod with it—some shadow fixes can conflict with ENB's own shadow settings.
