Eviction Notice - Story-Driven Rent System

EVICTION NOTICE is a fully-featured apartment rent system for Cyberpunk 2077. It requires that you periodically pay your rent, or risk late fees and eviction. Along the way, through 450+ new text messages, you'll meet an eclectic cast of real estate agents, chat bots, and landlords.

Like DARK FUTURE, Eviction Notice was created with the goal of feeling like a seamless part of the base game. Feel free to jump in and play; just make sure to check the mod's requirements.

Eviction Notice supports Megabuilding H10 and the other 4 rentable base game apartments in Northside, Japantown, The Glen, and Corpo Plaza.

When you start the game (either by loading a save game, or by starting a regular New Game, Phantom Liberty Quickstart, or New Game+), Eviction Notice will automatically detect any apartments that you're currently renting from the base game.

The goal was to add an additional layer of storytelling and difficulty, without dominating the entire gameplay experience. In the early game, you should feel the added pressure of making sure you have enough to cover the rent at the end of the week. You may even decide to downsize by moving out of Megabuilding H10 to save a few eddies. You'll also need to make choices about how many apartments you should rent at once.

You won't be required to pay rent during Act 1 of the Main Quest. (This is justified in-world through texts with the Megabuilding Administrator.)

At the start of each rent period (7 days by default), you'll get a text message from the landlord of each property you currently rent. You'll be able to pay your rent via text.

If you fail to pay your rent on time, you'll incur late payment fees each day until your rent is paid.

The large, up-front cost you paid to rent an apartment in the base game is now the security deposit. You'll still pay this when renting an apartment. This deposit is refundable if you decide to move out of an apartment. If you are evicted, they hang on to the deposit.

The amount to rent each property per rent period, and the length of the rental period, is fully configurable in Mod Settings.

If you don't pay your rent by the time the next rent period rolls around, you will be evicted from the property and be unable to re-enter it until you have Bob from EZEstates help you move back in (see MOVING IN (AND OUT), below). Yes, you can even be evicted from Megabuilding H10!
