Drop Current Weapon - CET - Immersive Hotkey Drop Auto Swap

Immersive CET QoL: drop your equipped weapon with a hotkey and auto drop your held weapon when equipping a ground weapon for seamless weapon swaps. Use files separately or together.

This page has two separate main files. Each works standalone, and you can also use both together.

Main File 1: Drop Current Weapon (World Drop)

• []Adds a CET hotkey to drop your currently equipped weapon directly into the world.[/]

  []Useful for immersion, roleplay, or quick weapon management without inventory menus.[/]

  Main File 2: AutoDropWeaponOnPickupEquip

  • []When you pick up and equip a weapon from the ground, your previously equipped weapon is automatically dropped into the world.[/]

    []Creates a seamless swap behavior: new weapon equipped, old weapon dropped.[/]

    Optional File (Alternative to Main File 1)

    • []Drop Current Weapon (No Notifications) — same mod as Main File 1, but with on-screen notifications disabled.[/]

      []Use this instead of Main File 1 (do not install both at the same time).[/]

      Copy the included bin folder into your Cyberpunk 2077 game directory. Open the CET overlay → Bindings → and assign a key for the mod hotkey.

        ⬡ Known Issue ⬡

        If you have Fists or Cyberware Arms equipped and then use AutoDropWeaponOnPickupEquip to pick up + equip a ground weapon, the mod may attempt to "drop" your fists/cyberware arms as if they were a normal weapon.

        Workaround: Before picking up a ground weapon, make sure you have no weapon equipped. Press B to holster (empty hands), then press R to pick up + equip the weapon.
