Damaged Blurry Windshield PT Fix

Description

This mod removes the blurry smeared effect that appears when looking through some damaged vehicle windshields, especially noticeable during rain with Path Tracing enabled. Might be happening with RT too but i haven't tried, if it does this will fix it for RT too of course.

It disables the windshield material’s "ShatterNormalStrength".

As of version 1. 2 this mod changes the bullethole normal texture to an already existing empty one which makes it compatible with some other mods!

This keeps windshield damage/cracks visible, but removes the normal-map distortion from the damaged glass layer, which is what causes the outside view to become heavily blurred with Path Tracing.

This is a simple visual fix/workaround for damaged vehicle glass. It does not replace vehicle meshes, does not change any ent files, and does not prevent windshields from being damaged.

"Do i need this mod?"

It's hard to show in pictures so best to just try it out for yourself! To do so get into any car that has a pristine windshield. At first it should look normal. Then shoot the windshield once from the inside without breaking it fully. If there is a lot of ghosting/smearing while driving especially during rain then my mod will most likely fix that.  Some car windshields do not have this ghosting problem, the ones that do i noticed was any "cortes" car like a police car.

Installation instructions

Move the file into your "Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod" folder or use a Mod Manager like Vortex/Mod Organizer.

To uninstall just deleted the file.
