Chatterbox FM (RadioExt)

Phantom Liberty is only required for lore purposes, as there are references to Dogtown, which can be immersion-breaking, but it's not gonna ruin your game or anything.

I highly recommend downloading this via Vortex rather than manually adding the radio to your RadioExt "radios" folder. This mod will have updates. There are 9 shows, and new episodes will be added periodically.

Disclaimer: All the voices are AI, since this started as a personal passion project to distract/help me get over a breakup, and I initially had no intentions of uploading this. However, I used to watch YouTube videos (mainly Reddit stories) on my phone while playing the game, and this radio station has let me cut down my screen time while still listening to Reddit stories in an immersive way. I no longer use my phone, because the radio station is just as entertaining as having YouTube playing in the background, and there's a lot of variety, so I figured this could help other people cut down their screentime as well (since I'm sure I'm not the only one who does/did that). The station also has no icon; I will add one eventually.

Eventually, I would like to add an in-game Wiki for the network, since there's a lot of lore within the station itself (I have to familiarize myself with BrowserExt first, so that'll be in the distant future). For now, here is a brief rundown of the network's history and a brief synopsis of the different programs it has to offer:

Its early reputation came from unscripted arguments, chaotic personalities, and shows like Sibling Static, Neon Noir, and the flagship Chippin’ In, which helped build a loyal cult audience. As clips from the station began spreading across the city’s networks, Chatterbox FM entered a brief mainstream boom where its hosts became widely known for public feuds and on-air scandals. That attention attracted advertisers—and eventually corporate interest. The station’s trajectory changed when the Arasaka-Kent family acquired a controlling stake, ushering in a more polished but heavily scrutinized “new era.” Several legacy programs were canceled or frozen, including Chippin’ In, while new shows like Platinum Gloss and Thread Count were introduced. Despite corporate oversight, the network retained its chaotic identity, with surviving shows such as Sibling Static: Reloaded continuing to generate massive engagement.
