Blade Runner 2077 - The Director's LUT (Subtle Green Tint Remover) NOT A RESHADE

What does this do?

This LUT isn't designed to massively change the way the game looks, but should instead preserve mostly vanilla visuals while de-emphasizing the green tints in shadows and enhancing blues in the midtones.

After about 30 or 40 different attempts, I found this solution effectively creates a look closer to the Director's Cut for Blade Runner, which unlike the Final Cut, has very little green in the darker areas and instead carries an overall cool look with healthy amount of blue in most shots. This is the look I think most prefer: it feels industrial, it gets the point across, but without being as overbearing as the green filter.

I can barely tell the difference.

Great. That is kind of the point. Cyberpunk 2077 is already a gorgeous game, and has some of the best graphics IMO. I love the mix of cold industrialism and warm west coast vibes. Trenchcoats. Neomilitarism. Rain-slick streets. Callbacks to late 90s filmmaking. In my opinion, the green and blue filters in the game are appropriate, I just felt it was tuned too far.

Let me describe a scenario: you are sitting in a car with an NPC in the evening. There's some light outside the car, but it's mostly dark inside the car. With the default LUT, what you will see inside the car is basically only greens. This is because all dark shadows will be toned green. With this mod, however, you will only see green tints within the darkest areas of the shadows of the dark areas inside of the car. The rest of the inside of the car will be colors you'd expect: browns, grays, blacks, blues, and only some greens. So this mod essentially avoids the full-green tint in dark environments. The end result is a LUT which maintains the original feeling but simply never feels awash with all green. As a tradeoff to this, I've boosted the blues instead. This prevents the image from looking dull, colorless, or boring when it's dark. This makes sense if you understand 90s filmmaking, where darks usually will go to either green, blue, or somewhere between to create the industrial look.

It's a subtle change. You won't have to worry about too dark / too washed out environments with this LUT that you might experience with other LUTs, which generally make more drastic changes. In fact, the overall luminosity of each pixel on the LUT should not have changed in a noticeable way. Also, because I made essentially zero changes on the pixels of the LUT that fell in the brighter or warmer tones, this shouldn't massively impact the daytime or indoor sections of the game, besides maybe making them feel about 10% cooler because of the slightly bluer shadows.
