📋 About This Mod

What It Do:

Similar to Scissor's amateur hackers, it makes is so that every enemy of the Archetype "GenericRangedT2" learn how to hack you. They're quite common, expect to see them hacking you frequently.

They know the Overheat, Overload, Weapon Malfunction, Locomotion Malfunction, and Blind quickhacks.

Unlike Scissors amateur hackers, I've also taught "GenericRangedT3" enemies to hack, which are less common but tougher. Currently they know the same hacks as the T2 guys, but due to differences in the base game, they'll also be able to use the Death hack (imminent system failure) on Hard and Very Hard difficulties.

If this annoys you, you can modify "r6/tweaks/Hackers Lazy Rebuild.yaml" to delete onlythe "- !append Ability. CanQuickhack" line beneath "ArchetypeData. GenericRangedT3_inline0.abilities:", and they won't hack you at all anymore.

I should also note that unlike Amateur Hackers, there's no specific hacking speed/frequency malus, so they'll hack as fast and with the same cooldowns as default netrunners. They lack the hacking resistance stat increase of netrunners, though.

I've also allowed these T2 and T3 generics to hack as part of their out-of-cover weapon choices, since generic shooters don't seek out cover as frequently as real hackers. This hasn't been an issue in my gameplay so far, but if you catch enemies kneeling down in your face to start a hack instead of just shooting you, let me know!

Requirements:

Cyber Engine Tweaks, TweakXL and its requirements.

Installation:

Just extract the 7z and paste the folders that pop out into your /Cyberpunk2077 folder, same as most mods.

There should be an "Average Hackers Lazy Rebuild/init.lua" inside "/Cyberpunk 2077/bin/x64/plugins/cyber_engine_tweaks/mods/", and an "Average Hackers Lazy Rebuild.yaml" inside "/Cyberpunk 2077/r6/tweaks/".

Let me know if any weird behaviour/bugs show up! While I've been using it without issue for several hours of gameplay now, it's still a lazy remake and I'm dumb so it could have problems!
