📋 About This Mod

IF YOU WANT TO BE BORGED TO FRAK AND FEEL LIKE A WALKING BLOCK OF FERRIS THEN THIS IS FOR YOU

Default Game State:

Every couple of levels your armor gets worse, and at such a high rate that no matter what you do you will always find your armor dmg reduc % going DOWN.

They do this by lowering your armor effectiveness as you gain levels.

This is stupid.

This is bad game design.

This is what I hate about game devs. They went from a completely overpowered armor system, to one that is totally useless.

Well I like being a tank without using evasion esque mitigation mechanics that have a chance of doing nothing and letting me get oneshot. So fuck you CDPR (with love <3).

CDPR having Armor get less effective as you level is stupid:

A. Armor as you stack it already has diminishing returns from what I have come to understand of seeing my % reduc in game (with this mod) relative to my flat armor value.

B. As you gain levels, enemies deal more and more damage.

IF you also lower armor effectiveness as player level increases and enemy damage increases, armor becomes exponentially more useless, due to multiplicatively reducing its effectiveness while simultaneously increasing the amount of damage players are taking pre mitigation. Dev's love twisting their mechanics into meaningless pretzels for no reason.

How I un-fucked the game:

This mod sets armor to 75% effectiveness at all difficulties at all levels. E. G. As you gain armor, your armor dmg reduc % goes up! Instead of down, because you leveled and CDPR wanted you to waste your eddies.

Sets armor to 75% effectiveness at all difficulties, and at all levels so that it actually works.

Isn't it nice to have your progression back? (This level of armor effectiveness with massive amounts of min maxing is still only a quarter as good as armor in 1. 2)

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Armor Unfrakked removes the built-in armor effectiveness scaling in Starfield, making armor equally effective at all levels and difficulties. It sets armor to 75% effectiveness, ensuring armor remains useful throughout the game. This is a simple gameplay tweak for players who want consistent armor performance.
