📋 About This Mod
The mod you never knew you needed.
Of course this is personal taste, and won't be for everyone,
but if like me you find the automatic zoom when aiming down sights distracting, this is the solution.
Simple, but in my humble opinion, essential, if you're going for absolute realism.
You need to consciously engage those Kiroshis, or put a Big Boy scope on, if you want to look at gonks in a different zip code...

But first, a note:
FOV and Zoom are NOT the same...
Here, FOV is used to control the apparent perspective of the weapon in relation to the camera,
i.e. the distance at which the player holds it out in front of their body,
whereas Zoom controls how close or far the world itself appears.
Neither affect weapon range, accuracy, or efficacy directly.

Disables all intrinsic zoom while ADS with iron sights and most low-power scope attachments.
(see comparisons below)
Snipers, precision rifles, and their respective optics remain largely untouched.
Modifies some weapon iron sight ADS FOVs, for a more realistic perspective - most notably handguns and shotguns.
(You don't hold a pistol against your nose IRL... V will now properly extend it out in front of them while aiming.)
Unfortunately, FOV changes are exclusive to iron sights. Equipping a scope will use it's respective FOV.
I don't think there's any way around it without altering the scope attachment records for every individual weapon and subsequent variants,
which would be a frankly monumental undertaking, and would more than likely introduce a LOT of compatibility issues.
The only option would be making it script-based, which has kind of been done before,
and would defeat the purpose of this being super lightweight.
Playing with 100 FOV is HIGHLY recommended, and is how this mod is intended to be experienced.
It may be slightly harder to see what you're shooting at, but you'll get used to it, and it'll definitely feel way more immersive.
