Adam Finlay Hidden Gem Quest Recovery

Never heard of Adam Finlay? That’s exactly why you need this mod.

What it's all about:

Adam Finlay’s hidden gem quest is so easy to miss, most players don't even realize it existed.

It starts early, lasts a little while, and if you miss it - poof - it's gone.

The quest happens on a pier in Pacifica where you're meant to meet Adam Finlay (Who's that? Play the quest to find out!).

But it usually kicks off before you even realize it, and if you leave the area without noticing, the quest just disappears - gone for good.

This mod gives you a second chance :)

What it does:

• []Reactivates the Adam Finlay hidden gem quest if you missed it so you can take your part in it and collect rewards.[/]

  []Fixes a long-standing issue with this quest that makes it lost forever if you leave the quest area while it's active.[/]

  []This also allows you to complete one of the Missing Persons mod jobs requesting you to take care of Adam Finlay.[/]

  How to use it:

  Once installed alongside Archive-XL, it requires activation. While it’s designed to activate automatically sooner or later, you can trigger it earlier yourself.

  There are three ways to activate it:

  • []If you've never visited Pacifica, it will activate automatically when the original Adam Finlay quest activates Adam.[/]

    []Automatically by visiting any of V’s apartments in Night City (note: the Dogtown hideout is not a Night City apartment).[/]

    []Manually by calling Regina Jones (just start a call and hang up).[/]

  How it works:
  • []If the original quest is still active, the mod will automatically activate and hook into it. If you leave the activity area without completing the quest, the mod will restart it if Adam was despawned prematurely. If the quest does need to be restarted, this will happen after you leave the quest area and then return.[/]

    []If the original quest was already lost before the mod was installed and activated, it will restart the quest.[/]

    []There’s no time limit to restart the quest, so you can return whenever you like.[/]

    []While it can restart the lost quest, it will only do so as long as you haven’t completed it - once per playthrough, as intended.[/]

    []If you obtained Adam's shard without completing the quest somehow, the mod will assume the quest is concluded and deactivate itself.[/]

    How to learn if the quest needs to be activated?

    If you've already collected the Adam Finlay shard, there's no need to activate the quest. Even if it is activated, it will stop automatically, as it's no longer n
