Actual Chrome Compression

Militech developed Chrome Compressor cyberware to give their soldiers more resistance to the stresses on their nervous systems as they pursued more and more demanding implantation. Turns out the ones you can get in Dogtown, Night City? Prototypes, with a bunch of features disabled.

MetaCorp techies managed to build a firmware update that enables the actual function of the Compressors, offloading and streamlining the communications between implants to the built-in processor of the implants. Naturally, they can't sell this tech themselves, but that's what a black market supplied by subcontracted smugglers is for.

With Update 2. 11, CDPR placed a hard cap on Cyberware Capacity of 450, plus 50 more if you take the Edgerunner perk. However, this means that once you reach 380 capacity through looting shards and leveling up, the Tier 5++ Chrome Compressor is going to give you diminishing returns for any further upgrades.

This mod uses TweakXL to change how Chrome Compressors work, reducing the allocated Cyberware Capacity by 5% at Tier 2, and by 30% at Tier 5++. This is mostly useful for players who want all of the Iconic cyberware, but at all levels of gameplay it makes the Chrome Compressor a more interesting and useful choice versus Cyberdecks, Sandevistans, or Berserks.
