Pet Loot Collection Toggle

Description

The main purpose of this mod is to give you control over looting. Toggle automatic pet looting on or off, or fine-tune what your companions collect with category and individual item exclusions! Let them gather useful supplies while leaving unwanted items behind, or disable collection entirely to enjoy looting for yourself. Manual looting remains available, including items your pets skip, so you decide what to take and what to leave behind.

Installation instructions

• []Close Crimson Desert before installing or changing editions.[/]

  []Download your preferred edition of Disable Pet Loot Collection: JSON v2, JSON v3, or Looting Toggle – ASI. Use only one edition at a time.[/]

  []For JSON v2 or JSON v3: Import the ZIP into DMM. If your manager requires a JSON file, extract the ZIP and import the included .json file.[/]

  []Enable Disable Pet Loot Collection in your mod list, select Apply/Mount, and confirm that the patches apply without errors.[/]

  []For the ASI edition: Disable any JSON edition of this mod in DMM and select Apply/Mount before installing.[/]

  []Extract PetLootToggle.asi and PetLootToggle.ini into the game’s bin64 folder, beside CrimsonDesert.exe.[/]

  []The ASI edition requires a compatible x64 ASI loader. If your other ASI mods already work, use your existing loader.[/]

  []Launch the game. With the ASI edition, pet looting starts disabled. Press Shift + F2 to enable or disable it during play. A top-left status message and a beep confirm each toggle. Manual looting remains available.[/]

  • []In-game pet looting toggle (ASI) - Press Shift + F2 to enable or disable automatic pet looting without restarting the game or dismissing your pet.[/]

    []Customizable loot restrictions (ASI) - Choose which categories your pets should leave behind, including weapons, shields, armor, accessories, tools, pet equipment, food, materials, ammunition, and documents.[/]

    []Multiple category exclusions (ASI) - Exclude several categories at once to tailor pet collection to your preferences.[/]

    []Individual item rules (ASI) - Exclude specific items or allow exceptions within an excluded category using exact internal item names. A searchable item-name reference is included.[/]

    []Corpse loot filtering (ASI) - Apply your restrictions to supported pet corpse searches. Pets collect allowed items while excluded items remain available for you to loot manually.[/]

    []Pets move on from excluded loot (ASI) - Prevents repeated targeting of supported corpses when only excluded items remain, allowing your companion to move on or return to you.[/]

    []Preserves manual looting - Search corpses and collect items yourself, whether pet looting is enabled or disabled, including items your pets leave behind.[/]

    []Reduces unwanted inventory clutter - Let your pets gather useful supplies while leaving excluded items out of your inventory.[/]

    []Shared pet behavior - Applies the looting controls through shared pet behavior for dogs, cats, and birds, without separate species settings.[/]

    []Disabled by default (ASI) - Pet looting starts OFF each time you launch the game. Enable it whenever you are ready.[/]

    []Visual and audio feedback (ASI) - An on-screen notification shows whether pet looting is enabled or disabled, along with filter status. Distinct confirmation tones indicate ON and OFF.[/]

    []Customizable shortcut (ASI) - Choose Shift + F1 through Shift + F12 in the INI. Configuration changes, including loot restrictions, take effect after restarting the game.[/]

    []Single session log (ASI) - Uses one PetLootToggle.log, overwritten each game launch, to keep diagnostic information in a consistent location.[/]

    []Three editions available - Choose JSON v2, JSON v3, or Looting Toggle - ASI. The toggle and configurable loot restrictions are features of the ASI edition. Use only one edition at a time.[/]
