📋 About This Mod
A cleaner HUD for Crimson Desert 2.02.00 with top-left or bottom-left health bar placement, 72 presets per version, three minimap positions, adjustable map and icon sizes, optional fading, and mission progress hiding. By Quackers24,
Description
Classic HUD Continued gives Crimson Desert a cleaner, more traditional HUD with your choice of top-left or bottom-left health and status placement, customizable minimap positions and sizes, optional fading, and mission progress hiding. Each version offers 72 preset choices, selectable through Definitive Mod Manager’s (DMM) dropdown menus.
Updated and maintained by Quackers24, this mod continues the work of Serfrost’s Classic HUD and UI Layouts and KeithVSmith’s Classic HUD Remake, with compatibility updates for Crimson Desert 2. 02. 00, expanded customization, and refined spacing for status icons, notifications, item pickup logs, and camp resources.
Two separate HUD versions are available:
-
[]Top-Left Health v4. 0: Places the health bar above the Spirit gauge, food slot, cooldowns, and status indicators in the top-left corner. Choose a bottom-left, bottom-right, or top-right minimap.[/]
[]Bottom-Left Health v2. 0: Places the health bar in the bottom-left corner, with the Spirit gauge, food slot, cooldowns, and status indicators arranged in a single row above it. Choose a top-left, top-right, or bottom-right minimap.[/]
These releases are still being refined, and some presets or HUD settings may need further adjustments. If you encounter a UI issue, please include a screenshot, your HUD version and selected preset, screen resolution, and HUD scale setting. This makes it much easier to identify and fix the problem.
Installation instructions
-
[]Download Classic HUD Continued - Top-Left Health v4. 0 (2. 02. 00) or Classic HUD Continued - Bottom-Left Health v2. 0 (2. 02. 00), depending on your preferred health bar placement. Install and enable only one health-layout version at a time.[/]
[]Close Crimson Desert and unmount your mods in Definitive Mod Manager (DMM). Disable older Classic HUD releases, test versions, and any conflicting HUD or minimap replacements.[/]
[]Drag and drop the downloaded ZIP into DMM, or download directly through DMM. You do not need to extract the ZIP first.[/]
[]Enable 01 - Classic HUD Continued - Top-Left Health v4. 0 (2. 02. 00) or 01 - Classic HUD Continued - Bottom-Left Health v2. 0 (2. 02. 00). Use its dropdown to select one of 72 preset choices, choosing your minimap position, minimap size, HUD visibility mode, and mission display preference.[/]
[]Top-Left Health offers bottom-left, bottom-right, or top-right minimap placement. Bottom-Left Health offers top-left, top-right, or bottom-right minimap placement. Both include Vanilla, +25%, +35%, and +50% minimap sizes.[/]
[]Choose a preset ending in Mission Hidden to hide the mission progress gauge, faction progress, and tracked objectives. Choose the corresponding preset without that suffix to retain the game’s normal mission visibility, independently of HUD fading. In Top-Right minimap presets, visible mission displays appear beneath the minimap, with item pickups farther down on the right. Reward and completion notification pop-ups remain available with either mission option.[/]
[]Optional: Enable 02 - Classic HUD Continued - Icon Resize v1. 0 (2. 02. 00) and select one icon-size option. Leave this component disabled to retain standard icon sizes. If Icon Resize is already installed, keep only one enabled copy.[/]
[]If using Icon Resize, ensure it loads after your selected Classic HUD Continued component so its icon changes take priority.[/]
[]Apply and mount your changes in DMM, then launch Crimson Desert. No ASI is required for the HUD or mission display options.[/]
[]To change presets later, close the game, unmount your mods, choose another dropdown option in DMM, mount your mods, and relaunch. Mission visibility is selected through DMM; it is not an in-game toggle.[/]
