📋 About This Mod
I wanted to share an updated method and file for the Real Engines & Parts names in Car Mechanic Simulator 2021.As many of you know, using old "Real Name" txt files on the current version of the game causes issues: new parts added by recent
How I fixed it: Instead of manually copying and pasting thousands of lines (which is prone to errors), I used a Python script to perform a "smart merge."
-
[]The script reads the latest official English.txt
from the game to ensure all new parts and keys are present.
[
]It cross-references with the old "Real Names" mod.[]If a match is found, it swaps in the real name (e.g., "V8 HEMI").
[]If it's a new part not in the mod, it keeps the original game name, preventing blank/missing text errors.
-
[]Download the attached .txt file.
[
]Place it in: ...\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_Data\StreamingAssets\Localization - Launch the game, go to Settings > Game > Language, and select "English (Real)".
To be honest, I didn't check the mod very thoroughly before uploading it because it was really late and I was about to go to sleep. Also, English isn't my native language. I plan to keep checking it over the next few days while I play.
The idea is for us to help each other finish this mod. Once it's fully complete, I want to port it to the language I care about most: Spanish (my native language).
The best country of Chile (it's an inside joke)
