Switch and using differents hunters in the same party

WHAT THE MOD DOES

• []Hunter Change has two pages in its settings window.[/]

  []In-game usage guide for the mod in the video[/]

• []Take another hunter's look in the game you play.[/]

  []Applies immediately, and comes back each time you load that game.[/]

  []Your hunter, skills, level and gear stay those of your base hunter. Your save is not changed.[/]

  []The premium skins have not yet been tested.[/]

  • []Become another hunter in the same game: same level, same gear, same story.[/]

    []Each hunter keeps their own skill tree in each game.[/]

    []The first time you become a hunter in a game, their skill tree is reset and all your points are free to spend.[/]

    []The next times, the points you already gave them are still there.[/]

    CHANGING HUNTER

    From your game:

    • []Open the HUNTER page and click a hunter: a message tells you what changes.[/]

      []Click RETURN TO MAIN MENU. The game saves your game and takes you back to the main menu.[/]

      []Wait 5 seconds, select another game without loading it, then go back to the previous one: it will show the new hunter.[/]

      []Click Continue, that's all.[/]

      []It also works from the main menu, with the same steps.[/]

      AT THE MAIN MENU:

      • []Select your game in the list, open the window and click a hunter: the change is made at once.[/]

        []Close the window, click another game, then yours again.[/]

        Why click another game: the game keeps the selected game in memory and shows its old hunter until you select it again.

        Open the console with ~, type mods, then choose Hunter Change: its window opens, in English or French.

        The ENABLED button, at the bottom left of the window, turns the chosen look on or off: off, your hunter gets their own look back. The HUNTER page works either way.

        The HUNTER page changes your save: the hunter, their name and the skill tree. Nothing else.

        • []Before each change, the mod checks your save and keeps a backup copy of it (the last five of each game), in ...\Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\settings\hunter_change_backups\[/]

          []After writing it, the mod reads it back to check it.[/]

          []When anything is unclear, such as a game found in several save files, it changes nothing and tells you why in the window.[/]

          []Your other hunters' skill trees are kept in ...\Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\settings\hunter_change_trees.json[/]

          The APPEARANCE page does not touch your save.

          REQUIREMENTS

          • []The Borderlands 4 Python SDK (oak2-mod-manager). The mod does not load without it:[/]

            []The Steam version of the game. The Epic Games version has not been tested; if it does not work on Epic Games, describe the problem exactly, with details, in a comment.[/]

            INSTALLATION

            • []Install the Borderlands 4 Python SDK (link above), if you have not already.[/]

              []Open the downloaded archive and copy hunter_change.sdkmod into ...\Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\[/]

              []Launch the game. The mod is on.[/]

              To uninstall: delete hunter_change.sdkmod from the sdk_mods folder, or directly from Vortex.

              • []A hunter change stays in your save: change back to your hunter before uninstalling if you want them back.[/]

                []Keep hunter_change_trees.json if you may reinstall the mod: it holds your other hunters' skill trees.[/]

                []The look you chose goes away with the mod.[/]

                What was tested, and what was not

                • []Tested on game version 1. 10. 2-4845623, Steam version.[/]

                  []Changing hunter tested from inside a game and from the main menu, with Harlowe, Amon, C4SH, Vex and Loveless.[/]

                  []Tested in single player only. Never tried in co-op.[/]

                  You will surely run into bugs. Report them in the Bugs tab or in a comment, saying what you were doing when it happened.
