Benefix OHM attack

WHAT THE MOD DOES 

Benefix Ohm Attack gives you an attack on top of your weapons and skills. Hold the key you chose: your left hand fires an energy beam at what you aim at.

THE BEAM

• []It comes out of your left hand, with no range limit.[/]

  []It hits the enemy you aim at five times a second while you hold the key.[/]

  []Six elements to choose from: fire, shock, corrosive, cryo, radiation, or kinetic (no element, a white lightning bolt).[/]

  []No ammo: the attack uses a new stamina bar.[/]

  []Its damage follows your level, like a weapon's. You set its starting strength.[/]

  []It works in first and third person, weapon out or put away.[/]

  THE ENERGY

  • []The beam has its own energy, 100. It does not touch your main stamina.[/]

    []A new stamina bar shows under your main stamina bar while you use the attack. You can hide it and customize its settings in the mod's menu.[/]

    []Empty, the beam stops. The energy comes back by itself after a short delay.[/]

    []You set the cost, the recharge speed and the delay. With a cost of 0, the energy never goes down.[/]

    The mod has its own menu in the game, in English or French, with two pages.

    BEAM

    • []Element: fire by default.[/]

      []Damage per second: from 5 to 2,000, 75 by default. This is the value at level 1, the beam grows with your level.[/]

      []Energy bar: shown or hidden.[/]

      []Energy per second: from 0 to 100, 20 by default.[/]

      []Recharge per second: from 1 to 100, 25 by default.[/]

      []Delay before recharge: from 0 to 10 seconds, 2 by default.[/]

      CONTROLS

      • []Works with keyboard/mouse and with a controller.[/]

        []No key is set by default: choose yours before playing.[/]

        []Controller icons: PlayStation or Xbox.[/]

        Opening the window

        Open the console with ~, type mods, then choose Benefix Ohm Attack: its menu opens.

        The ENABLED button, on the left of the window, turns the whole mod on or off.

        REQUIREMENTS

        • []The Borderlands 4 Python SDK oak2-mod-manager. The mod does not load without it , setup guide[/]

          []The Steam version of the game. The Epic Games version has not been tested: if the mod does not work on Epic Games, describe the problem in detail in a comment.[/]

          INSTALLATION

          The mod has two files to download on this page:

          • []Benefix Ohm Attack, the main file.[/]

            []Benefix Ohm Attack Paks, in the optional files. It brings the raised left hand and the energy bar.[/]

            First install the Borderlands 4 Python SDK (link above), if you have not already.

            With Vortex

            • []Install the main file Benefix Ohm Attack with the Vortex button.[/]

              []Also install the optional file Benefix Ohm Attack Paks with the Vortex button.[/]

              []Each one goes to its own folder by itself.[/]

              • []Download the main file Benefix Ohm Attack, open the archive and copy benefix_ohm_attack.sdkmod into ...\Borderlands 4\sdk_mods\[/]

                []Download the optional file Benefix Ohm Attack Paks, open the archive and copy its four files into ...\Borderlands 4\OakGame\Content\Paks\ : 000_BenefixOhmAttack_999_P.pak, 000_BenefixOhmAttack_999_P.ucas, 000_BenefixOhmAttack_999_P.utoc and pakchunk998-windows_998_P.pak[/]

                Then launch the game, open the mod's window and choose your key on the CONTROLS page.

                Without the Paks file, the beam still works, but your left hand does not rise and the energy bar does not show.

                To uninstall: delete benefix_ohm_attack.sdkmod from the sdk_mods folder and the four files from the Paks folder, or use Vortex. The mod changes nothing in your save.

                  []The energy bar goes through the game file that draws your stamina bar. Another mod that changes that bar may conflict with it.[/]
