Teleportation Plasmid Restoration is a script mod for BioShock Remastered that restores the cut Teleportation plasmid.

This was a blast to get going again, thanks to new modding tools made by the efforts of me, Nyko, and Bio4554. We've managed to create tools that allow for edits that were never thought possible. Restoring this plasmid was made easy thanks to these tools, and it would never have existed without them.

Teleportation itself is a pretty interesting plasmid that costs 60 ADAM. On equip, it allows you to create a purple teleport beacon on the ground. When you are far enough away and you trigger the plasmid again, the game will teleport you back to the beacon.

This plasmid was first seen in the BioShock Beta gameplay, being used to escape from a Big Daddy. It was removed by the developers due to the possibility of soft locks in gameplay. I have restored this plasmid to the best of my abilities, including the animations, sounds, and the beacon itself.

It was an incredible experience, and I hope you all enjoy a piece of lost history recovered for the very first time!

  Requirements

  There are no additional requirements to use this. This works as is and is intended for use with BioShock Remastered.

  Installation

  • []Download the latest release from the Files tab.[/]

    []Navigate to your BioShock Remastered ContentBaked\pc folder.

    Example (Steam): \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\ContentBaked\pc[/]

    []Back up the ConfigINI. IBF file within this directory and store it somewhere you can remember.[/]

    []Drag and drop the mod's ConfigINI. IBF into the ContentBaked\pc folder. Click Replace on any popups that appear.[/]

    []Navigate to your BioShock Remastered Build\Final\BakedScripts\pc folder.

    []Back up the ShockGame. U file within this directory and store it somewhere you can remember.[/]

    []Drag and drop the mod's ShockGame. U into the Build\Final\BakedScripts\pc folder. Click Replace on any popups that appear.[/]

    []Once the mod is fully installed, launch your game.[/]

    []It is highly recommended to start a new game so that the mod properly loads Teleportation in the Gatherer's Gardens. If you use a continued save, the Gatherer's Garden will not display Teleportation until the next map loads.[/]

    Teleportation is available for purchase in every Gatherer's Garden from Arcadia onward for only 60 ADAM.

    To uninstall the mod, it is assumed you made a backup of your original ConfigINI. IBF and ShockGame. U. If not, you will be required to verify your files to restore the originals. When verifying, you will lose ALL mods. Make sure to back up any mods you have before verifying your files, or else you will lose them and be forced to re-install them all.
