Description

AdamVile is a plugin that re-enables the console for BioShock Remastered.

This mod helps re-add the removed functionality of the console after 2K disabled it many years ago.

  Requirements

  IMPORTANT:

  This plugin requires the BioShock Remastered Plugin Loader. Without it, the mod will not activate or be enabled.

  Installation Instructions

  • []Reminder: Make sure you have the plugin loader installed.[/]

    []Download the latest release from the Files tab.[/]

    []Navigate to your BioShock Remastered binary directory.

    Example (Steam): \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BioShock Remastered\Build\Final\BioPlugins[/]

    []Drag and drop adamvile.dll into this directory.[/]

    []Launch the game. You can check Plugins.log with any text editor to verify that adamvile loaded successfully.[/]

    []Press '`' / tilde to open the console once your save file is loaded.[/]

    []If you see a black bar at the bottom of your screen with a cursor then you have successfully installed the plugin.[/]

    Troubleshooting

    If plugin is not loading:

    • []Check the BioPlugins/Plugins.log file for any error codes.[/]

      INPUT UNRESPONSIVENESS WARNING:

      Using the Tilde (`) key while inside menus (such as the Main Menu, Pause menu, cutscenes, hacking screens, vending machines, etc.) may cause your inputs to stop responding. This happens because the game cannot render the console overlay on top of active menus. Best place to execute is once your fully loaded in and running around.

      The Fix: If your inputs freeze, simply press Esc or Enter to dismiss the hidden console overlay and restore full control.

      • []Custom Keybinds : In a future update, I plan to add support for custom keybind configurations in case you have issues with the default Tilde (`) key.[/]
