Convoy PQ-17

After Operation Cerberus, Scharnhorst is transfered to Norway, and in this scenario is repaired early enough to play a part in the hunt for the famous convoy PQ-17 on July 1942. Here again, the historical accuracy is not exactly respected (to say the least) and is more considered a (very) general frame. You start the mission alongside in Trondheim, next to Tirpiz and Admiral Hipper anchored there, and have to leave ahead of them to go hunting the convoy. Based on the information provided to you by Abwehr, you will have to chose a route and speed to find the convoy, hoping to avoid escort groups. Captains are 100% free to chose their approach; convoy and escort apparitions are not scripted, everything is there on the map from the begining, which means results will be VERY different depending of your strategy. This mission was very tricky to build up, probably overly complicated in the layout as I tried to take into account a lot of possibilities. I really hope everyone will enjoy this mission differently (actually, i just hope everyone will just enjoy it, it will be great already). There is also a small twist that you might encounter depending on the solution you chose. Key features: -Dynamic weather and traffic -A bit of manualy added traffic in Trondheim and Narvik for immersion. -No triggered event except radio messages. Known issues: -Just like "Save the Bismarck!" scenario, leaving the jetty can be tricky especially with heavy weather. Trondheim is even more tricky as there is a vicious shallow water on the west side of the exit, where you can run aground. Be sure to perfect your maneuvering skills!
