Weekend at Preveza

Following failure of Operation Pedestal and the loss of Malta, the Royal Navy has no choice but increase the activities of her carriers in Mediterranea to compensate the loss of those precious airfields. Scharnhorst is once again deployed in Greece, this time in Preveza, to patrol Ionian Sea and dissuade as much as possible Royal Navy to engage her precious Flat Tops. But what if the British were on the initiative this time? Scharnhorst has been in Mediterranea for about one year and her actions on this theatre made her a major concern for the Allies. Isn't it bold for the the Oberkommando der Marine to assume that next patrol will go as planned? Especialy with Lutzöw still not operational and still resupplying in Taranto after undergoing major repairs in La Spezia drydock, leaving Scharnhorst on her own for the next mission. The title is a reference to the movie "Weekend at Zuydcoote" about the battle of Dunkirk; the mission itself will throw you in the action right off the bat, outnumbered and outgunned, while ennemy has initiative. Part of the "Alternate Mediterranian Campaign" series: 1) Farewell, Montevideo! 2) The Blockade of Dunkirk 3) Save the Bismarck! 4) Punching Past Gibraltar 5) The Siege of Tobruk 6) Club Run to Malta 7) Force 10 from Crete 8) Operation Pedestal 9) Hunting Grounds 10) Weekend at Preveza 11) ... (more to come) Features: -Dynamic traffic -Fixed weather -A bit of scripted message, but ships spawns are not scripted. Known issues: -AI ships group might occasionaly follow their planned waypoint during a firefight instead of engaging in combat maneuvers. They will still trade shells though, so it's not too much of a trouble.
