Player Division Assignment

Description

This mod replaces the pre-battle division assignment mechanic with a UI that allows the player to select individual troops for each of the 8 battle divisions.  This can be done in the pre-battle screen or on the campaign screen by clicking on the Assignment icon or Ctrl F8 on the keyboard.

INSTALLATION

1. Close Bannerlord and its launcher. Back up your campaign save.

2. Install a Harmony version compatible with Bannerlord 1. 5. 3.

3. Extract this archive into the Bannerlord installation folder. The resulting path

must be Modules/ManualDivisions/SubModule.xml, without an extra nested folder.

4. Enable Harmony and Player Division Assignment (Beta) in the launcher.

Place Harmony before its dependent mods, and this mod after Native, SandBoxCore

and Sandbox. Load order alone cannot resolve conflicting formation mods.

5. Load an existing campaign or start a new one. Open the shield icon on the campaign

map (above the army panel), or press Left Ctrl+F8.

6. Arrange troops and click Apply party arrangement. Save the campaign to retain it.

Main features

This mod is for OCD types who want complete control over which troops are being assigned to each of the eight divisions.  A new UI allows for transfer of troops to each division.  By default, all troops begin in Division 8, and this is where newly recruited or newly promoted troops are initially assigned.  Once a troop is assigned to a different division, the mod will maintain that division assignment until the troop dies or is promoted into a different troop.  

For armies, where you are combining your forces with other parties, the pre-battle screen initially assigns all of the troops of other parties into division 8, and you will need to manually assign these troops to the correct division.  Troops that are not in your own party will need to be assigned after each battle.
