📋 About This Mod
KILL BANDITS RAISE RELATIONS
This mod simply adds a relationship gain to random notables in close by towns and villages when you defeat bandits, in a similar way to destroying bandit hideouts.
The default relationship gain is set at 1 for killing any number of bandits at all, and it gives that bonus to a single notable from each town or village that is in range. This number is influenced by your charm skill though and therefore can increase by more than 1. The range is set to 1000.
MCM Version is default, works with 1. 4. 7
Instructions:
Place KillBanditsRaiseRelations folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules
Make sure to unblock dll if you are not using vortex.
Install MCM if using the MCM version
https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/612
Then kill bandits to raise relations.
Only takes effect after the first time a new campaign is saved and then loaded.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with 8,300 endorsements and over 382k downloads.
- Simple, focused mechanic that rewards clearing bandit camps with tangible relationship boosts.
- Charm skill interaction adds a layer of progression for social builds.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated April 2023 — may not be compatible with newer Bannerlord versions.
- Requires MCM (Mod Configuration Menu) for the default version, adding an extra dependency.
- Effect only triggers after saving and loading a new campaign, which can be confusing for first-time users.
For Bannerlord players who want a quality-of-life improvement that makes bandit clearing more rewarding, especially those focusing on charm and social skills. If you're running an older game version (1.4.x) and don't mind installing MCM, this is a solid pick. Skip if you're on the latest version or prefer mods that don't require extra dependencies.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to unblock the DLL file if you're not using Vortex, or the mod won't load.
- After installing, start a new campaign and save/load once to activate the relationship gain effect.
- If you're on a newer game version, check the mod's posts for community patches or consider using the non-MCM version if available.
