Jack of All Trades

Tired of opening the character screen every time you sneeze near a bandit? Jack of All Trades lets you forget about micromanaging perk choices. For every skill tier, both perks are unlocked automatically. Each perk then levels up dynamically when you perform relevant in-game actions. Use it → it grows. Ignore it → you clearly didn’t need it. At first glance it may look like “more knobs to turn,” but it’s the opposite: no menus, no second-guessing, no anxiety about picking the “wrong” perk for the next 20 hours. You do the thing; the thing gets better. Simple.

Core Philosophy

• []Dual-perk unlocks by default: saves your time and nerves. Both perks are granted automatically whenever they are unlocked.[/]

  []Incremental, action-driven scaling: each perk has 5 internal levels. Levels rise from actions that logically relate to that perk’s effect.[/]

  []You are NOT OP at start: Moreover you are way weaker, than in vanilla, as all perks grant approximately 20% of their vanilla power. But through learn-by-doing actions you can master them all! (And yeah, become OP in the end lmao)[/]

  How Perks Open

  • []New game or existing saves: all standard perk choices are treated as unlocked. You don’t click anything.[/]

    []Mid-game install: on first load with the mod present, characters are normalized to the “both unlocked” state covered by the skill level.[/]

  How Perks Level Up
  • []Per-perk XP pools: each perk maintains its own progression. One-handed kills won’t inflate your Crossbow perks; selling goods won’t inflate Medicine.[/]

    []All your actions matter: kills, hits, crafting steps, trading, healing, leading, smithing, riding, engineering actions, etc. are attributed to the actor (you, companion, AI lord) and relevant perk progress.[/]

    []Ingame hints: you can hover the mouse over perk to get all relevant information on how to level up the perk, if curious.[/]

    []MCM Support: you can tune up the experience thresholds if you feel the progress is too easy/hard.[/]
