📋 About This Mod
Wait too long for your children to grow up and fight for you?
Not any more! Your children will grow up within 4 years(Default value, now fully configurable). (25*14 = 350days 350/84 = 4. 16 years)
Now the hero becoming of age(The age at which children become a playable hero in Calradia) is completely configurable through Mod Options Menu.
In default, he/she will be available in your clan at the age of 14! (Enough age for a fighter in the evil middle age)
He will grow rapidly until the Growth Stop Age.
All of your newborn babies will be available at the age of your configuration.
And they will be aging at the configured pace.
In the native vanilla version, your wife could deliver a child in about 30 days or so.
So instead of your wife gave birth to 2 0-year-old children in a year(pretty strange setting in the vanilla version).
This mod makes all of them grow up quickly and remain in a natural order.
And your child will gain some free attribute points and focus points when he reaches the Hero Becoming of Age!
And when a child grows up to a hero, all of his/her elder brothers/sisters, father and mother will be aging one year older.
In this way, you remain some years older than your sons, and the ages of the siblings don't get messed up in order.
Configurable Items
Now a lot of things are configurable.
1. How many days (the pace) your children grow at. Your children will grow after a certain amount of days have passed.
2. The maximum age a character could possibly get. (Everyone will die after reaching a certain age)
3. The pregnancy rate.
4. Still Birth probability.
5. You could disable maternal mortality. So your wife doesn't have to die sometimes when giving birth to a child.
6. You could configure the min age and max age a woman could get pregnant.
7. The pregnancy duration of your wife. (How many days your wife need from the conception of a child to its birth)
Fixes for Known Issues:
1. Some users couldn't enter their savings after they disable my mod.
- Download Save Missing Module Fix
https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/282
For an unknown reason, Taleworlds forbids the entrance of saving when missing saveable data. (Pretty odd and notorious feature among many modders.).
For the record, Grow Up And Work doesn't modify anything of your saving unless adding a few integers which are only used by this mod into the saveable data system.
If you would like to disable Grow Up And Work mod and play with your old savings without it. Just download the above mod( Save Missing Module Fix).
Grow Up And Work has already listed Save Missing Module Fix as a required Mod. If you are using vortex and you are downloading the newest version, the Save Missing Module Fix should be downloaded automatically.
2. Too many children and want to disable pregnancy?
- Download the latest version.
- The newest version(1. 1. 2) of Grow Up And Work is fully configurable.
You could simply tune up the pregnancy duration.
Or you could tune up the stillbirth probability.
Also, you could tune down the Pregnancy Probability as well.
I will add some more things to dialogs with your wives. Maybe you could talk some sense with your spouse and persuade her into not having any children anymore. :)
Compatibility:
1. Not compatible with Faster Come of Age
This mod modifies the game's defaultAge model. So Grow Up And Work mod could not be used together with Faster Come of Age
2. Partially compatible with Detailed Character Creation
Please check the latest 1. 1. 0 version. My mod will hopefully be compatible with DCC in version 1. 1. 0
3. Compatibility With Older Version Grow Up And Work:
Fully Compatible with the older version of Grow Up And Work. Just Delete old version folders, and download and extract the new version into the Modu
