About:
This mod adds the gore aspect of dismemberment and decapitation to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Whenever a player or NPC does fatal cut damage to an enemy's head by swinging left or right, there will be a chance the head will be decapitated.
Installation:
Place "Dismemberment" folder in the "Modules" folder, then enable it in the launcher. You can change various settings of the mod in the configuration file "Settings.cfg".
Settings:
Chance - (number), chance of dismemberment happening, default is 1 or 100%, change to 2 for example to make it 1/2 or 50%, or 4 for 1/4 or 25%
SlowMotion - (true/false), if slow motion mode is enabled when the player dismembers someone
Debug - (true/false), shows debug messages from development
Changelog:

- Fixed an issue where the game would crash in arenas and tournaments because NPCs are not supposed to die there, so it is disabled
- Fixed an issue where the mod would try to dismember animals such as horses causing crashes
- Fixed an issue where dismembered heads would duplicate
- Fixed an issue where unconscious NPCs would be dismembered such as lords
- Removed some left over debug stuff

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community favorite with 14,450 endorsements and over half a million downloads
- Simple installation: just drop the folder into Modules and enable in launcher
- Configurable settings let you tweak the gore to your liking
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020, so may not be compatible with the latest Bannerlord versions
- Only affects cut damage to the head, so not all kills will trigger dismemberment
- No active development or patches for recent game updates
For Bannerlord players who want to add brutal, cinematic combat moments. If you're tired of enemies just falling over and want some visceral feedback, this is for you. Skip if you're on the latest game version and worried about compatibility, or if you prefer more realistic combat without gore.
💡 Beginner Tips
- After installing, make sure to enable the mod in the Bannerlord launcher's mod list
- Edit Settings.cfg to adjust the dismemberment chance — set it to 2 for 50% or 4 for 25%
- If you experience crashes in arenas, note that the mod disables dismemberment there by design
