CALRADIA AWAKENED

The lords stop being idle CPUs and start thinking like players.

Every consequential lord in Calradia now has a mind of his own. He wants

something, he remembers who wronged him, and when he has finally had enough he

acts on it, with no script telling him to. Loyalty, ambition, betrayal, and open

rebellion become emergent. You are one actor among a hundred living minds.

No AI and no setup required. Out of the box the lords decide and speak

from a large built-in library of in-character lines. If you want their thoughts

written fresh by a local AI model instead, there is an optional offline Ollama

mode you can switch on. Either way, nothing ever leaves your machine.

WHAT IT DOES

Living minds

Rulers and their strongest vassals each get a personality seeded from their real

Bannerlord traits, plus an evolving drive that shifts as their world changes.

Every lord is different and acts in character.

Lords remember

A living memory of grudges and bonds. Lords remember who betrayed them, who slew

their kin, who took their castle, and who stood by them. Real events across the

campaign, wars, deaths, defections, lost holdings, leave a mark, and those

feelings drive what a lord does next. A wound fades slowly, unless it is reopened.

Plots that brew, then break

The small moves happen at once: courting an ally, feuding with a rival, sending

gold to a friend. The great moves build over time and then break into the open.

A vassal abandons his liege for a rival banner. A king brings war to the realm he

most resents. An ambitious lord rises in open rebellion to seize a crown of his

own. A lord with a real grievance acts fast; a whimsical one only simmers.

The whole map breathes

Beyond the lords in the spotlight, the rest of the cast still lives, drifting

toward their own kin and away from their enemies. Over time this alone polarizes

Calradia into real power blocs and restless courts, at no performance cost.

The Annals

The world writes its own history. Every defection, war, rebellion, and fallen

king is set down in a dated record you can read in game at any time.

Talks to AI Influence

If you also run AI Influence, Calradia Awakened feeds it. The betrayals, wars,

and rebellions your lords set in motion become real news the AI lords know about,

so they reference them in conversation and they colour AI Influence's dynamic

world events. Two living-world mods, reinforcing each other. Entirely optional,

and it only ever writes its own entries, never touching AI Influence's.

REQUIREMENTS

• []Bannerlord. Harmony (load it above Calradia Awakened).[/]

That is the only requirement. Everything works with no AI and no setup.

Optional AI mode: if you want the lords' lines written dynamically by a

local model, set mode=ai in the config and install Ollama (ollama.com,

then ollama pull llama3. 2). Fully offline and free; the world plays the

same, only the wording changes.

Settings live in a plain text file at

Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\CalradiaAwakened\config.txt, where

you can set your Ollama URL and model, toggle the background drift, and tune how

often and how violently the world turns.

COMPATIBILITY

Singleplayer. Safe to add to an existing campaign and safe to remove. Stores only

a tiny packed string in your save, so it cannot bloat or corrupt it. Plays well

alongside AI Influence, Calradia Chronicle, and similar living-world mods.
