📋 About This Mod
Hey, you. Yeah, you! Do you have a tiny little Battle Size and would like to enlarge it? Well, I have just what you need.
This mod allows Battle Sizes between 1200 and 2040 units using the original interface. Works for all game modes (Campaign, Sandbox or Custom Battles). You can also change it while you're playing, without the need to restart the game.
Only runs code before the battle is loaded, so it doesn't add any performance cost during gameplay. However, values close to 2000 can be highly demanding for the CPU.
Requires Harmony, Butterlib, UIExtender and MCM.

Q: I get an error with a popup saying "Cannot load dll".
A: That means your .dll files are blocked. You can use 7-zip instead of winrar to unpack files, or you can manually unblock it (right-click the .dll > Properties > Unblock.Q: I don't see 2000 units when there's cavalry. What's happening?
A: Unfortunately, the engine is limited to 2040 simultaneous agents and it also counts for mounts. That means cavalry takes double the room. While Field Battles should usually see between 1400-1700 soldiers depending if you're roleplaying Genghis Khan or not, sieges are able to spawn 2000+ human soldiers at all times.Q: I have a beefy PC, but 2040 it's lagging a lot.
A: This mod only runs code before the battle begins, so it doesn't add any performance cost. Everything during battle is TaleWorld's code at it's full glory. Agent count requires a lot of CPU power, but you can try changing graphics to see if it's not your gpu that's holding your fps down.Q: Is it safe to install or uninstall during Campaign?
A: Yes.Q: Will it crash if there's cavalry in my army?
A: No. This mod dynamically rearranges deployment numbers considering vanilla ratios, available troops and agent room with mounts included.Q: Horses are dying with the rider.
A: In the MCM menu you can define the behavior for horses. By default, horses are killed together with their rider to free agent space immediately.
Compatibility
-Compatible with any vanilla Spawn Priority option from Gameplay menu.
-Compatible with any game mode (Campaign, Sanbox or Custom Battles).
-Compatible with any version past 1. 4. 0.
-Overhaul mods with summoning mechanics can cause problems if not checking for the current agent count.
Version 2. 0 should definitively fix the crashes caused by dense assets, like DLC armors or custom armor packs that don't follow vanilla constraints (mesh metrics way higher than the engine was supposed to handle).
BattleSize Resized lets you set battle sizes between 1200 and 2040 units using the original interface, working across all game modes and allowing changes mid-game without restart. It runs code only before battle loads, so no performance cost during gameplay, though values near 2000 can be CPU-intensive. Requires Harmony, Butterlib, UIExtender, and MCM.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 757 endorsements and over 110k downloads.
- No performance hit during battle—only runs code before the fight starts.
- Adjust battle size on the fly, no restart needed.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires four separate mods (Harmony, Butterlib, UIExtender, MCM) to work.
- Cavalry-heavy armies reduce effective soldier count due to engine limits (2040 agents including mounts).
- Pushing near 2000 units can tank your CPU, so it's not for weak rigs.
For Bannerlord players who want massive battles without messing with config files. If you've got a beefy CPU and crave epic 2000-man clashes, this is your mod. Skip it if you're on a potato PC or don't want to juggle multiple dependencies.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use 7-zip to extract the mod, not WinRAR, to avoid DLL blocking issues.
- If you get a 'Cannot load dll' error, right-click the DLL files, go to Properties, and click Unblock.
- Remember that cavalry units count as two agents (rider + mount), so your effective infantry count will be lower than the set battle size.
