Owlbear Cub Evolved

Allows summoning the Owlbear Cub. Additionally, it gains unique abilities based on the Wildheart Barbarian class, Ranger Bear summon, and Dire Raven Wildshape.

Experience the owlbear cub's evolution from cub to battle-ready grown owlbear throughout each level. Its abilities, actions and even size will increase gradually depending on its level which is set to the level of its summoner. See the last image for the size comparison.

This mod works seamlessly with the Owlbear Cub that hangs out in camp as well as the one unlocked with Gather Your Allies.

When the owlbear cub joins the camp, you'll receive the item to summon it (an Owlbear Plush Toy). On existing saves, this item will be granted if the owlbear cub is already in camp. If the owlbear cub is permanently defeated while it isn't summoned (in camp or elsewhere), the item is removed.

When you first arrive at High Hall, if the owlbear cub is currently summoned, it will be dismissed and you won't be able to summon it until after you've finished the dialog related to Gather Your Allies. If you were awarded with the Battle-Ready Owlbear, the owlbear cub that is summoned will instead be the Battle-Ready version. The Gather Your Allies spell to summon the Battle-Ready Owlbear will obviously not appear in the container since you'll already be able to summon it.

All scripting was done using Larian's story editor. No additional third-party frameworks or dependencies required.

Progression

The level that some abilities or passives are obtained are slightly different for level 13-20 playthroughs. It follows the same progression, but a bit more spread out with the ability score increases as well as some of the more powerful actions. The level that an action is obtained in a 13-20 playthrough will be in parenthesis. As of v2. 0, the two progressions have been merged. Level 12 progression remains the same, but can now extend up to level 20. This does mean earlier access to some actions on level 20 playthroughs, but scaling damage should help mitigate the earlier access to those actions. This was done to have a more seamless integration into a future all-in-one version.

Death Saving Throws (Passive): The owlbear cub will now roll like a player and may be helped before unsummoning when defeated.
