Consistent High-Contrast Spade Cards

Have you ever heard of nominative determinism? It's by sheer coincidence that my username, chosen completely randomly, would one day reference the greatest accomplishment I have ever made in an artistic medium.

Purple. The colour of emperors. A lovely kind of colour. Prince wore it. Now, he was a bit of a weirdo, but he made good music, so we're 2 for 1 on whether things associated with purple are good or bad. Actually, 2 for 2. Because emperors can be good and bad. Ever heard of Antoninus Pius? Dude kept the Roman Empire out of any kind of war for 30 years. Good stuff. But then you had Commodus, namesake of the commode (this is because he was shit.)

Once upon a midnight dreary, I played Balatro very queerly.

I noticed cards of high-contrast, but amid the blinds, an error flashed.

The colours on the cards of Spade had been laid in haste, in dye mislaid.

For all the others had colours that matched! Numbers, symbols, designs that catched!

But when my eyes laid on the Spade, I fell to my knees. My soul was flayed.

In space of tyrian was naught but void. I got real angry - just like The Noid™!

Then I swore - upon the ace - to make them match, the digits and face!

In short: This mod makes the black in the numbers and symbols of the Spades suit on the high-contrast deck purple, to match how the other suits look. While I was at it, I also fixed a small error with the black outlines - as they had a weird kind of gradient to them that the other suits didn't have.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Download this mod.

Download 7-Zip at https://www. 7-zip.org/

Navigate to your Balatro installation.

You can find this by right-clicking on Balatro in your Steam library, hovering over "manage" until "Browse local files" shows up. Alternatively, navigate to wherever your Steam folder is located, and follow the folder structure down like this:

"\Steam\steamapps\common\Balatro"

Right click Balatro.exe, mouse over the "7-Zip" option, and choose "Open archive".

Open Consistent High Contrast Spade Cards.zip and drag the "resources" folder onto the "resources" folder within Balatro.

It will ask you if you want to copy it over. Say yes.

You will now have consistent spade cards within the high-contrast deck.
